On July 31, we were married in Santorini. Much to my surprise I knew nothing about my new husbands plans. I thought we were just taking a planned trip to Greece. With the help from Liza - from www.wed-designs.com. My husband planned the perfect sunset wedding(dress included) When planning a destination wedding you really do need a person who knows what you need to make everything happen. Wedding planner review: Liz Tilley
My husband and I got married a couple months ago 2011, in the beautiful village of Oia in Santorini and we wanted to share some of our experiences working with Liz as our wedding planner in case anyone out there is in the need of one.
We met Liz (info@wed-designs.com; www.wed-designs.com; mobile: 30 6948012734) almost exactly a year prior to our wedding during a trip to Greece. We had sent a few emails in our first couple days there hoping to see if anyone would have the time to discuss potentially having a wedding there in the following year. Liz was one of the first to email us back and met us the very next to show us all the “’prime” locations to get married. Her energy and warmth was immediately felt and we had a wonderful day (actually ended up picking a potential spot to get married as well as a hotel for everyone to stay in) AND ended up splitting a bottle of wine to end the day. Throughout the year Liz was very easy to contact and we felt was available to answer any questions we had. As we live in New York, there was no opportunity to go back to Oia before the wedding, but luckily since Liz lives in Oia, she had easy access to local vendors which was very helpful. On pricing, once we shared our budget Liz made a very large effort to stay within those realms, never forcing us to make uncomfortable pricing decisions.
We arrived a week before the wedding and Liz was there to meet us the very the next day. We felt that she was available 100% the whole week to accommodate us and our family and friends (40+ people from the US and C***da). Liz helped arrange a girl’s boating trip, the Rehearsal Dinner, and of course the big day. We felt that Liz was very honest with us, and able to deliver on every aspect that she promised.
